Class Descriptions…

HIIT – High intensity interval training.  Rather than a long endurance session, this cardio class focuses on sprints and recovery.  You will see dynamic bodyweight and plyometric movements with the occasional use of a light dumbbell or kettlebell.  The intervals of work and rest will range anywhere from 30 to 90 seconds.  This style of training maximizes your body’s ability to burn calories throughout the day.

Get Ripped – This class is designed around traditional bodybuilding protocols.  It involves a lot of isolation movements, programmed with the intention of targeting specific muscle groups.  You will also see some accessory work that focuses on smaller muscles that can sometimes be neglected with regular functional fitness training.

Butts & Guts – The intention of this class is to target the glutes and abs.  It takes glute training far beyond squats with a plethora of lifts that shape and grow the booty.  In the strength portion, we focus on proper form first and then increase the weight to add an extra challenge.  The core work is creative as well, using movements that hit the upper abs, lower abs and obliques to whittle the waist.

Signature Sweat – You will definitely be sweating in this hour long conditioning class, based around functional fitness.  It employs a variety of compound, multi-joint movements (think wall balls, kettlebell swings, box jumps etc.) and arranges them in a series of 8 to 12 minutes of work with 2 to 5 minutes of recovery in between.  The goal here is to keep it light and fast.  Oh, and you will see plenty of burpees 🙂
